For our 20th annual conference we're going to Austin, TX. IFVP members have told us about the need to balance content and conversation, offer highly relevant content for multiple audiences, create time and space to get together and hang out, and deliver a BIG dose of culture - what we’ve come to call ‘embrace the place’. We've paid attention and that's just what we intend to do in Austin in July of 2015.
AustinTX 2015 will begin Tuesday evening, July 14th with a front row seat when the bats fly out from under the Congress Avenue Bridge at dusk. The conference begins Wednesday morning, July 15, with our New Member Orientation, and continues from 9am-5pm Thursday, July 16 and Friday, July 17.
We've invited external speakers to bring different perspectives and a bit of provocation, we've invited members to present their latest ideas and thinking, and we're designing sessions of very specific content for very specific levels of experience. And we will offer three full day pre conference workshops on Tuesday, July 14.
Our traditional big dinner event will be held Thursday, July 16 at Maggie Mae's, smack in the middle of Austin's historic entertainment district, where we'll take over the entire roof top for BBQ, music, and line dancing lessons.
